Design Philosophy 

Successful design not only relies on function but also

aesthetics and special attention to detail.  H Studio A+D

takes great pride in merging all of these qualities while being

sensitive to each client's specific needs and desires.  The end

result is a design that encourages people to experience

architecture, not just walk through it.  Although sustainable

design may not originally be part of a client's design

program, H Studio A+D tries to incorporate "green" design

principles, "green" technology and "green" construction

practices.  Designs also encourage indoor/outdoor

experiences, following Biophilic Design principles (integrating

nature with design to create habitats where people thrive). 

Due to H Studio A+D's successful holistic approach to design,

its projects have been showcased in publications such as

TRENDS Magazine.


H Studio A+D approaches additions and remodels with the 

same design philosophy as new construction while embracing

the challenge of incorporating "new" with "old" seamlessly

so that this division becomes nonexistent.

Residential Projects

Residential experience includes multi-home subdivisions, custom homes and speculative homes

(one which was provided for American professional boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr.) ranging in

square footage up to 15,000 sf.

Pacific Northwest, Contemporary Hawaiiana, Mountain, Tuscan, Santa Barbara, Prairie, Asian,

Contemporary, Mediterranean, Plantation, Shingle, Craftsman and New England.

Sharilyn R. U. Hidalgo, AIA, LEED AP BD+C is the President and Founder of H Studio A+D.  

Sharilyn brings in a wealth of experience and skill with more than 26 years of professional

experience.
